22/02/2024

On February 15th, iNOVA4Health partners, iBET and ITQB NOVA, hosted Evren Alici for the iNOVA4Health Seminar “Natural Killer Cells in Cancer: From Discovery to Clinical Applications”.

Evren Alici is the Head of the Cell and Gene Therapy Group at Karolinska Institutet (KI), where he leads a team of researchers dedicated to exploring natural killer (NK) cells in patients with multiple myeloma. He also serves as co-director of NextGenNK, an international Competence Centre for the development of next-generation NK cell-based cancer immunotherapies based at KI.

In his talk, Evren Alici provided an overview of major discoveries leading to the clinical applications of NK cell therapy. He then presented his teams’ ongoing efforts in a clinical study testing an off-the-shelf NK cell-based immunotherapy approach.

iNOVA4Health partners acknowledge Dr. Alici for his insightful talk; it was a pleasure to welcome him at ITQB NOVA and gain valuable insights into the promising results of NK cell immunotherapy.
